We publish the best of all poetic genres, including translations, and are proud of our commitment to regional as well as international poets. At SRPR, both innovative and mainstream poems are welcome, though all poetry we publish must be as intellectually and emotionally ambitious as it is formally attentive.
Our submission guidelines are as follows:
We accept submissions from September 15 to February 15 (postmarked).
Simultaneous submissions are okay. If you have submitted your work through our online submission manager, then you can withdraw your work by logging into your account. If you have mailed us your work, then notify us as soon as possible at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. In the subject line, use the title "Withdrawal of Submission."
Please submit 3-5 poems, with your full contact info at the top of each poem.
We do not accept submissions sent by email.
You are encouraged to use our online Submission Manager. At this link more details are available about uploading your work.
If you mail us your poems, please include a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) so that we may inform you of our decision. Our postal address is:
We respond to each submission within 2-6 months.
- If SRPR accepts your work, you will receive 2 contributor’s copies of the issue in which your work appears, as well as a 1-year subscription to SRPR.
